What we collect, and what we don't.

What we collect on this site

One thing: aggregated traffic data through Google Analytics 4. That includes the URL you visited, the page that referred you, your approximate country and city (derived from IP, then discarded), device and browser type, and how long you stayed.

We do not collect your name, email address, or any account data on this site. There is no signup, no comments, no contact form. The only way to reach us is the mailto: link to support@woodfiredigital.com, and what you send goes to our inbox the same way any email does.

Cookies we set

If you accept analytics in the banner at the bottom of the page, Google Analytics sets two cookies in your browser:

NamePurposeDuration
_ga Distinguishes unique visitors 2 years
_ga_CJC4BRN37M Maintains session state for our specific GA property 2 years

We also use a small piece of browser storage (localStorage key wfd-consent-v1) to remember your choice so the banner doesn't reappear on every visit. This one is strictly necessary for the banner to work and is set whether you accept or reject.

If you reject analytics in the banner, Google Analytics is run in Consent Mode with all storage denied. No analytics cookies are written. Google may still receive cookieless, aggregated pings so basic counts work in the dashboard.

What we use it for

  • Counting how many people visit each page, and whether marketing is reaching anyone
  • Catching pages that are broken or that nobody finds
  • Working out which countries we're getting interest from

That's the whole list. We do not run ads. We do not build profiles. We do not sell or share the data with anyone outside Google.

Who sees it

  • Woodfire Digital LLC — the data in Google Analytics is visible to our team. Today that's one person.
  • Google LLC — Google processes the data on our behalf. Their handling is covered by their privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. — Cloudflare proxies the site and forwards email. Cloudflare sees request metadata as a normal part of running a CDN.

We do not transfer data to any other party.

Your choices

  • Change your consent. Open the cookie banner again with and pick the other option.
  • Block analytics in your browser. Most browsers can block third-party cookies or scripts from www.googletagmanager.com and www.google-analytics.com. We respect that.
  • Use the GA opt-out add-on. Google publishes a browser opt-out extension that disables analytics across every site you visit.
  • Ask us anything. Email support@woodfiredigital.com with questions or requests. If you're in a region that gives you rights to access or delete data (EU, UK, California, others), tell us in your message and we'll act on it.

Server logs

Cloudflare keeps short-lived request logs as part of operating the network. We use them only to debug problems and respond to incidents. We don't link them with analytics or sell them.

Children

This site is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, email support@woodfiredigital.com and we'll delete it.

Updates
